Tak was recently Senior Technical Director at Tencent for 8 years, one of the top Chinese Internet companies. Tak led the WeChat technical team in international expansion and helped grow the popular app into an all encompassing online platform. He also led the WeChat technical team of the QQMusic overseas version which grew from 0 to 10M users in 2 years. The app became #1 of music category in over 6 countries.

Tak has an extensive startup and operational experience and is now mentoring a startup in Hong Kong focusing on AR/Education sectors.

Originally from Hong Kong, Tak has lived and worked in Greater China for over 10 years with extensive experience in technical management in China. Previous to Tencent, he held multiple roles at Yahoo US in engineering and program management across global programs and organizations.

Tak holds a BA of Computer Science from University of California at Berkeley and MBA from Haas Business School (UCB).
