Carlos M. Aquino brings 33 years of operating and advisory roles with academy companies focused on M&A, corporate governance, revenue optimization, supply chain management, and enterprise IT. He also brings 20+ years of cumulative Board experience.

He is currently the Founder and Managing Director of CMA Pacific Partners, an investment / advisory boutique in Hong Kong, which he founded in 2002 but suspended from 2006-2016 while committed at TPG Capital, where he was Senior Advisor and Operations Director.

Carlos’ PE / VC investment focus has primarily been in consumer-packaged goods – including the supply and distribution chains around CPG – focusing on the dramatic disruption unfolding across the entire CPG ecosystem. He has co-led investments in China, India, Japan, Korea, SE Asia, as well as US / EU in categories such as beauty, children’s toys, liquor, telco, etc, including CPG packaging.

Carlos is actively engaged with 10+ PE / VC funds on sourcing and evaluating new investments as well as advising / mentoring CEOs and business founders, via both startup accelerators and GPs.

Prior to 2002, he held leadership roles responsible for channel sales and customer service at 3COM and at General Electric, where he was most recently responsible for the healthcare business’ Asia-Pacific supply chain.

From late 1980s until mid-1990s, Carlos worked as a strategy consultant at Booz-Allen & Hamilton. Early in his career, he worked in and around the transatlantic aerospace industry.

He has an M.P.A (International Relations) from Princeton University and undergraduate degree from University of Michigan.
