Claire Chung serves as the China General Manager of Yoox Net-A-Porter Group, the world’s largest online luxury retailer. She is responsible for expanding the Group’s business across all business units including NET-A-PORTER, MR.PORTER, THEOUTNET, YOOX and the Online Flagship Stores [operating the global websites of more than 40+ designer brands including a JV with the Kering Group]
She is a senior executive who has the unique experience of both leading teams for global corporations as well as being a serial entrepreneur with a track record of raising capital and delivering high growth. She has also been very successful at “turnaround” scenarios shifting loss-making companies to high growth.
In 2012, she was a pioneer in China’s e-commerce business by launching the first full-priced online retailer for designer fashion for Shangpin where she served as Vice President of Global Business Development and successfully raised $140 million in venture capital.
She was Founder of Touch2Give.com, a European based SNS social-network start-up, providing an online marketplace for emerging designer brands with a focus on sustainable and ethical fashion-forward fashion brands. Touch2Give.com was recognized as an innovative social-enterprise in Europe and was a case study for the London School of Economics SELUSI project and also partnered with the Ethical Fashion Council. In her early career, Claire launched Christie’s Art Advisory Service in Hong Kong and was an art credit analyst at Citibank Art Advisory in New York.
Claire graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University. She is a polyglot, fluent in five languages.
