Ziv Rotenberg is a Partner at Gornitzky & Co., one of Israel’s leading law firms. Previously, Ziv founded Group8 Consultants, a specialized intellectual property strategy consulting company focused on helping companies in China create value through intellectual property. Ziv is a thinker and a strategist, and for many years has been looking at how companies can use IP to create value and improve their competitive position. Coming from Israel, Ziv grew in a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. Ziv has been living and working in China for more than five years and has a unique perspective on how to make IP work for business in China and globally. In his current position as founder and Managing Director at Group8, Ziv is working with early-stage and growth-stage startups and investors in China. Ziv helps startups understand the impact of IP on their industry and business, guides them in asking the right questions and making the right decisions, building an IP strategy and implementing it to create and leverage strategic IP assets, integrating IP into their strategy, instigating growth and achieving long-term strategic advantages. Currently based in Beijing, Ziv is also mentoring teams at Tsinghua University x-lab. When he is not working or thinking about IP, Ziv spends his time exploring places, architecture, blues music, great food and everything that has wheels and an engine.
