Garett Wiley is the Chief Financial Officer at Semafor. He is a career entrepreneur–30 years on. In addition to serving on the Board or as an acting founder/advisor to various technology-related startup companies and non-profit organizations, he co-founded two venture-capital backed companies—Red 5 Studios, a leading developer of online games funded by Benchmark Capital and Sierra Ventures (acquired by NASDAQ:NCTY); and NewRiver, an online financial services company funded by Pequot Capital and Lazard Technology Partners (acquired by NYSE:BR). He is particularly passionate about making a difference in how we learn. Many of his current projects are focused on education technology and games and learning. Wiley is also interested in new retail/e-commerce projects and food-related tech.
