Brian Xin founded StarryMedia in late 2009. Starry Media is focusing on “Digital Research and Social Marketing”, targeting mainly SMEs by SaaS model. Starry Media just celebrated their first anniversary by closing an angel round with a few famous angels.

Brian is a serial entrepreneur. BS and MS from Tsinghua University. Spent 10 years in the SiliconValley (1996-2005), co-founded RivalWatch.com in 1999. RivalWatch does competitive analysis service for e-merchants. The company received funds from first class investors in US, such as Arthur Rock. It is still running in Sunnyvale with professional management.

Brian went back to China in late 2005. Before he founded StarryMedia, he worked in several companies, such as CTO of MSN China (Microsfot Online Services in China), CTO of iKang (the first online healthcare management company in China), and VP of technology of Linktone (the first wireless value-added service provider company in China listed in NASDAQ) (Nasdaq: LTON) .

Brian is an advisor at Taishan Angels based in Beijing (Taishan invested in Lashou , vipstore, ushi, etc), and the member of TEEC (Tsinghua Entrepreneur and Executive Club).
