Jen Loong is currently Investment Director with Tembusu Partners’ Sustainable Future Fund, and leading Eco Business’ SDGCo sustainability innovation platform. She’s new to Singapore, having spent the last decade across Shanghai, HK, Kobe and Bali.
Prior to transitioning into sustainability field, Jen headed up portfolio management with venture capital teams like New World Development Group’s C Ventures, Standard Chartered Ventures and HK’s HYPE Asia, in bridging Chinese and Southeast Asia’s start-ups to scale with growth equity. Before a career into VC, she was an operator-at-heart, leading internationalization for top consumer brands, including luluemon athletica (China entry), TOMS (China entry), Alipay (US/EU entry), and Groupon (APAC expansion). She had also founded (and failed) her own start-up, WanderSnap, a creative content platform to help creatives identify job opportunities with a social impact commitment.
Outside of her career, Jen is an avid mentor to Founder Institute, 500 Startups, She Loves Data and other startup communities. She also recently completed her Terra.do climate fellowship. For fun, she’s an off-beaten-path traveller, swimmer and bookworm. Jen holds a BCom in Finance from the University of British Columbia.
