Shenali has over 10 years of experience in strategy consulting, business development and project management across multiple global institutions. Her most recent role as Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist for the SME Sector Development Programme of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Sri Lanka included overlooking project deliverables to ensure reporting standards were met in line with multiple donor requirements.
Prior to this, she functioned as Growth Hacker for Good Life X (Pvt) Ltd where she designed and implemented accelerator programs in Sri Lanka for the food, agriculture, wellness, tourism, sustainable energy and circular design sectors. She led and implemented the first Growth Accelerator for sustainable SMEs in Sri Lanka and served as Program Advisor to The Green Energy Champion Accelerator which received the 2022 SAARC Regional Award for Best Accelerator/Incubator Program. Shenali has supported over 30 sustainable local businesses to expand their product portfolios and enter new markets within a span of 2 years.
She formerly led a multi-faceted team of developers at Mitra Innovation – a leading software solutions company with a global clientele. She also was a Research Associate at the Economics Intelligence Unit of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. In her role as Business Analyst for Stax Inc – she worked closely with senior management in order to identify business development opportunities in the U.S. Private Equity industry.
Shenali has a Diploma in International Relations from the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies and is currently reading for her MBA from the London School of Commerce.
