Alok Somani is a hands-on early stage investor with over 17 years of engineering, operations and finance experience in North America, Asia and Africa. Prior to moving to Shanghai and joining PopCap, Alok worked for very large oil & gas companies in operations and finance roles including as the finance director for a business unit generating $1b in after tax cash-flow and as CFO for Jet-A.com.

Currently, Alok is an independent consultant providing small companies with insight, coaching and execution in finance, planning, business case development and business rhythm implementation. In addition to having two failures (well, three if the first one from 1997 is included) to his credit, Alok is on the Board of Directors at Trigger Asia and is an advisor to eKeliu and The Shanghai Race Club.
