Eugene Lee first came to Asia in 1980, as a banker with Chase Manhattan and then with HSBC in Hong Kong. He later was president of the worldwide Esprit fashion apparel business and has also been engaged in the electronics manufacturing business. He has been based in Shanghai since 2001, where he has been investing in and working with early stage companies in computer software, video games, women’s lingerie, online education and skincare amongst others. He graduated from MIT, Stanford, and Harvard Business School.
