Sourabh Chattopadhyay is a Partner with Wellesley Partners and leads the firms’ businesses in India and South East Asia. Wellesley has multiple businesses: the main being senior level executive search for financial services, private equity, and private equity portfolio companies. Along with that, Wellesley has an advisory practice as well and a capital raising business to help set up new alternative investment funds. Prior to joining Wellesley Partners, Sourabh headed Options Group’s executive search and strategic consulting practice in India. Sourabh has also been an entrepreneur and worked in institutions such as Goldman Sachs, Ernst and Young, and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, all in New York.
Sourabh grew up in the US and moved to India in late 2008. He lives in Goa with his wife and daughter and their three dogs. Sourabh is an avid angel investor and an LP in many accelerator funds. He is also an advisor to several startups. Sourabh is on the board of Khela Ghar, an NGO based out of Calcutta, and a founding trustee of Daya Foundation. He is also an Advisor to the Phreegroup, where he advises them on them on the operations of their neo bank Phree Bank. He holds a BBA in Economics from Pace University in New York.
